Birth plans have gotten a bad reputation for being inflexible and if you brought one into the hospital with you, you would automatically be considered a "difficult" patient.  Things have changed over the years and now there are pages and pages of questions offered by hospitals as their version of a birth plan but these are so long and extensive that they are often overlooked and important details get missed.

In this short discussion, Erica will teach you how to think about your birth plan pragmatically,  how to organize it so that care providers and staff will read it, and provide some examples of what you might include in your birth plan.
